This episode starts off somewhat perplexingly with a ‘game’ of grab the flag, which a few people in uniforms are participating in. Nina’s team loses, and she demonstrates a competitive and self-sacrificial spirit.
Following the OP (Daisy x Daisy’s Brave Your Truth), who has nice beats but truly wince-worthy Engrish, Layfon visits the group 17 members, and tries to unjoin the group by citing work as an excuse. Nina, of course, doesn’t take no for an answer, and decides to test him on the spot. Read on to have a look at the screenshot slideshow while you find out how Layfon manages to get not one but two females angry at him by the end of the ep…or just visit the screenshot gallery. Sigh, I wrote a post but left my computer on and fell asleep…and it shut itself down. -_- Of all the nights it should happen.
Will have to try to regurgitate it…lessee. Finally, an OP (Kuribayashi Minami’s Sympathizer) that’s unabashedly for an action anime. The ED (Yousei Teikoku’s Irodori no Nai Sekai) was pleasant as well, but not all that memorable.
The action was cool, don’t get me wrong. But I seem to have a tendency to fall asleep during action (everyone else says JCVD was a good movie…I was asleep halfway through :S) — it probably didn’t help that it was 4am. XD Nonetheless! Will follow to see what, exactly, will happen. Read on for ep summaly, or just visit the screenshot gallaly. Continue Reading »

Ahem. Fans of Code Geass might be interested to note that Sakurai Takahiro (Suzaku) is playing the titular lead (Hikaru Genji) in this anime. Rest assured that this is certainly not Code Geass in the Heian Era. XD
The OP (Hiyori Hime by PUFFY) is strangely upbeat and modern for the historical theme. ._. However, the rest of the anime is how I’d imagined it — if the drawing is somewhat dated, it makes up for it with the calming music (which allows for a soothing pace) and splashes of colour. The ED sounds a LOT like Natsume Yuujinchou’s ending…and no wonder, both are by Kousuke Atari. (Ai and Natsu Yuzora respectively.)
Genji Monogatari Sennenki starts off with some nekkid male/female action, accompanied by the girl’s rather-confusing monologue. Genji’s response to this is that of a typical casanova…I had to restrain myself from pointing at him and saying, “Lies!” Gallery here, or read on for the slideshow+ ep summary. Continue Reading »

Pretty picture courtesy Danbooru. I’ve covered the manga and the first ep, now it’s time to cover the ending theme! Ever since someone mentioned it on chapter 5 of Maria Holic on my scanlation site (JE Scanlations), I’ve liked this quirky song. Somehow, I managed to miss it on the first episode of this anime; but maybe that’s cos the version I had was a cut-down preview. (Maybe.) It’s a great song, though! And I was tickled by a version I found, so here’s the post dedicated to Kimi ni, Mune Kyun.
By the way, Kimi ni, Mune Kyun (Uwaki na Bakansu) seems to kinda mean My Heart Beats For You (Naughty Vacation) — someone correct if that’s not accurate? Continue reading for the four youtube videos! Continue Reading »
