Amuri and Suzu are still in their scantily-clad stora, though I must say Vernier’s purple Utores is the prettiest of them all. :) Come on…lace ribbons as an attack! If there’s one thing I could point out about Hoshi no Umi no Amuri, the visuals are stunning. True, it all starts to seem like you’re watching the CGs of a game after a while, but hey, good CGs!

Most of episode one was in 3D animation — and I loved the planet of whimsical objects made from rubbish, as well as the girl who was sad because she couldn’t touch people without being repelled, because of her power. Who cared that more than five solid minutes of it was taken up by a light show, or that it had the undressingtransformation!shoujo phenomena? It was done pretty.
