Hetalia 5-6: Beach interlude stranded on a long piano

Hetalia is, as always, funny and good light watching. I know this post is laggy…I’ve been busy doing tutorials I can’t really wrap my brain around (bloody med chem). :( So due to stuffs, I’ll be blogging less frequently.

5: Stranded, beach, pasta. Italy gets up to antics on the beach, while marooned with Germany and Japan. Yaoi vibes between the other two Axis powers aside, Italy’s as cute as ever.

6: Long, piano, interlude. The Axis powers are still stranded on the beach, but they’re joined by everyone else…and notably Austria on a piano. ON THE SEA. Epic. XD This reminded me of Stairway to Heaven…I still wonder if they ruined a piano shooting that scene at the sea.

Some bits were just too funny not to screenshot, but due to program fault, my screenshots got shot into limbo. -_- Sigh.

On another note, niisama and I completed l4d on normal for hospital in 1h7min, up from about 1.5h the last time. :D  I think I still like playing as zombie…there’s this kind of vicious joy in heckling the survivors; and I used to be scared of the hunter, but now I’m gunning him with my pistols (when playing normally). Yeahhhh.

Hetalia 3-4: Strange Onsen Scene?!

Catching up on Hetalia backlog…I’ve actually watched Maria Holic 11, but didn’t have time to finish taking screenshots at 2am. -wry- Italy is as dumb (and cute) as ever…for short, short summaries of eps 3 and 4, read on. Or have a look at screenshots. Continue Reading »

Hetalia 2 - Tomato Fairy?!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Yet another short episode (should have expected it from five-minute eps…) with Italia being…cute and silly. Most of the story continued from the end of the previous episode, though, when Germany‘d found a box with ‘Tomatoes’ stamped on it.

While this ep certainly wasn’t as hectic as the first ep, I did find I wasn’t as amused. It’s really a pity it’s only five minutes each time. :( I might leave it for a few weeks then watch a few eps at a time…-wry- Off to watch Sorakake 5~…

Everyone’s been telling me how hot it’s been, but it’s nice and cool indoors with the fan on, though I still need to unpack my luggage. Cue groan. Never liked packing or unpacking. Was great to spend some time with niisama, though poor dear got sunburnt. :( Hope you recover soon!

Hetalia: Axis Powers 1 - PASTA~~

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This episode was awesome, though I wish they’d shown more of Chibitalia. XD (I remember reading that yonkoma, and there was more to it!)It is only five minutes, which is a pity; but unlike other reviewers have said, I didn’t feel like it was rushed, nor did I feel like the characters were talking too fast. And yes, no screenshots for this since my MPC seems to be working up. ._. You get random art from talented artists instead. XD Sources tagged in imageshack pages for the images.

My favourite bit in the ep, though? Definitely PASTAAAAAAAAA……and I went video-surfing after I’d watched the ep, too. Oh, also — happy belated Chinese New Year, everyone who cares!

Hetalia screening soon!

There’s word that the first episode of Hetalia will be screening online soon, about 1.5 hour’s time soon. Airing is set at 4pm (GMT +9, I presume), and I’m checking this page waiting for it to update when the time comes, though I don’t know if it’s the right page. -wry- Countdown to the episode: here

[News] Hetalia: Axis Powers’s TV Run CANCELLED!

If only Korea and Japan were more like UK and US in this picture.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The Hetalia anime has been CANCELLED and will not be showing on Japanese terrestrial TV (Kids Station). It’s a pity because I really was looking forward to it. :(

Fans of the series will, however, be able to catch a slice of the action with once-weekly net releases on animate.tv — and if you’re in Japan, you can catch it on yer mobile as well. Unfotunately, after having a look around animate.tv’s site…it seems several episodes of other anime are pay-per-view…around 100-200yen (generally 105) per. -wry- Well. Not sure if online fans can even view it after all..on the other hand, Akikan! is streaming for free, but that’s Bandai. (And I can’t access the video either. :S) We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usSpeculation abound regarding why the show was cancelled — most agree it’s something to do with them Koreans. But as pointed out several times, Korea doesn’t even show up in the anime, for chrissakes..so it could be just an excuse. More ominous theories talk about death threats. It seems some people just can’t enjoy anime without there being something political about it…even when it’s meant to be satirical.
