Guin Saga 2 - Hentai Duke’s Gladiator Games
The music for Guin Saga is epic. I think this is quite possibly the first time in a while I’ve heard an instrumental OP…which will probably get boring pretty quickly. -wry-
On the whole, though, the music does get a bit overdramatic sometimes. Ep 2 is pretty much all about Guin bashing a grey ape — and facing another opponent at the end, a strange guy who mouths off at the duke: Kurenai no Youhei. We’re introduced to a few new characters — the Black Duke, naturally, who goes around wearing this ghastly mask. His bishounen (kinda) bodyguard, who has reflexes faster than Guin’s. And, of course, that new guy.
While Remus is (thankfully) not featured much in this ep aside from getting threatened by the Duke, Linda is starting to get on my nerves…much like the titular character for Kemono no Souja Erin, she has chronic ‘I can’t do anything but I’ll try my best to piss scary people off cos I surely won’t get hurt‘ syndrome. Also what I call foolish lack of self-preservation. It’s alright for people who can defend themselves to do it, but if you can’t, it’s just asking for trouble..and troubling others.
Also…I’m gonna blog less intensely from now (i.e. not daily, and not all that up-to-dately). Will post a post explaining some time in the next few days. Last screenshots, though they aren’t much to look at this time, sadly. And yes, no captions, I wasn’t very inspired. XD

@Panther: I know; in fact, it was pretty much my sole reason for even giving Guin Saga a chance — first impression was like, ‘Eeyer, muscled man?! >.>’ XD
The only other instrumental OPs I can think of is the Banner of the Stars series and Monster (kinda). Though similar only in OP stylings, that’s pretty outstanding company to be with!
@kadian1364: Hmm, I’ll check those out. Don’t think I’ve heard an instrumental OP for quite a while, or if ever, come to think of it!
