Spring 2009 - One-liner Impressions
K-On: Will definitely be watching this, but not so sure about blogging it.
Shinkyoku Polyphonica Crimson S: Technobardic magic! Yes!
Queen’s Blade: We’ll see whether it gets too horrible, but yes for the moment!
Guin Saga: Hrm. Not quite sure wha to make of this one, yes? I’m kinda worried the twins will prove too annoying to follow, though. >.>
Saki: Quirky characters and CG mahjong! Yes!
07 Ghost: Bishounen overload! Yes!
Eden of the East: The first ep blew me away. I especially enjoyed the creative ED and…uh…interestingly-English OP. ;) Yes! (I’ll probably blog on this when ep 2 comes out, though.)
And the stuff I’m not watching…
Slap Up Party - Arad Senki: Many Koreans are working on this. Wasn’t in a good mood when I watched it, and the art seems kinda hrm. Skip.
Tears to Tiara: Seemed boring. Skip.
Sengoku Basara: Don’t understand this. Skip.
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~: Interesting, but not my type. Skip.
Gokujou!! Mecha Motte Iinchou: Ugh, no. Skip.
Ristorante Paradiso: Looks kinda boring…skip.
Hanasakeru Seishounen: Funky OP that sounds like English pop. Unfortunately, bad art, dubious main character who loved a leopard… so…skip.
Asura Cryin’: The story is borderline interesting, and some parts were quite amusing, but…probably not blogging this one.
Shangri-La: Sadly, rather a disappointment. The art just didn’t really make me happy…I’ll still watch it, but blogging’s dubious. Skip.
Well…I was supposed to actually post on Guin Saga 2, but I have the last five minutes left to watch, so…have a short update post first. XD I’ll update the spring countdown page (and the sidebar) with the series I’ll probably try to catch each week.
There’re still a few I haven’t watched (Pandora Hearts) but want to watch…will have to catch up. (Picture of Yuka found on Danbooru, by Kari.)

@Baka-Raptor: Ahh, I laughed at that. XD
@digitalboy: Haha! But I seriously didn’t get it, it was a bit like Genji Monogatari…watching Chinese subs killed me. :S It doesn’t mean I won’t ever watch it, more that I won’t watch it while it’s airing. :) If someone says it’s good after it’s over, I might still pick it up! And yes, last paragraph, I still haven’t had a chance to watch Pandora Hearts, but would like to even though some people said it was a bit disappointing. :(
@Jay-san: Haha, I just got distracted with the last few. XD
@kirapika: Awrsh, not nice to be disappointed. :( Heh, considering someone said I had an optimistic view of the season, I’m not very disappointed. I have one anime for every day of the week, that’s more than enough! XD And will definitely keep an eye out for Pandora Hearts. :)
@Jay-san: Nah I meant that I was too lazy to follow the initial format. :X Heh.
Did you check the OP credits for the song in Eden of the East? It’s by Oasis! :O Which kinda explained why gg had the karaoke for it but didn’t for the Ending.
Sengoku Basara is well, based on the game, which never took itself seriously to begin with. XD I mean the series is supposed to be based on the Sengoku period in Japan, but it’s rife full of silly stuff like, Honda Tadakatsu being a mecha. Even the english-speaking fans of the game call him “Hondam”. XD No, I haven’t bothered watching the anime hahaa….
07-GHOST and Eden of the East are definitely TOP!!!
Oh, and you should also watch Pandora Hearts! Well, first episode might not be too good but starts from episode 2, you’ll be hooked to it (^_^)
Hope you can stand horror, though XD
@B-RABBIT: Thanks for the comment! I’m really chicken when it comes to horror, haha!! From what I’ve heard from friends, though, no one’s mentioned horror and Pandora Hearts…maybe they have stronger constitutions than I. XD Nonetheless, when I catch up backlog, I’ll check it out. :)
And I agree! Eden of the East is the only show I’ve watched up to the latest ep (I think), and it’s great so far!
@M12: I think that’s what niisama said about Queen’s Balde. XD
Ugh, another Mio fanboy? -wry- I tend to avoid overhyped things, which would explain why I never watched Haruhi…I like the ED for K-On, but the rest…will watch when I catch up.
And yeah, yay for Eden of the East. :) Though sometimes I accidentally call it East of the Eden. >.>
