Phantom Requiem 1 - I’m Surprised Guns Aren’t Pink
Phantom (~Requiem for the Phantom~) is cool. If the shiny wheels left you doubting, you only need to see the guy in the PINK convertible cooly unloading his handgun into some randoms with huge guns. Also, pink helicopter.
Barely five minutes later, guy wakes up in cell with no memory — he escapes, but seems to be under observation — a girl in a mask forces him to fight while he’s monitored. At first he dodges, but when he decides to fight, he’s not bad. Unfortunately, constant wondering-who-I-am gets annoying…and by the way..why is Ein not Eins? XD
The OP (Karma by KOKIA) is hypnotically stylistic. The rest of the anime is nice enough to look at, with some interesting camera angles. (Sideways? Reflections?) Interesting note — the guy playing Zwei, Irino Miyu, is very busy this season, with roles in not only Phantom, but also Asura Cryin’ (as Tomoharu Natsume), and Cross Game (as Hikaru Kitamura), as well as a side role in 07-Ghost as Shuri Oak. -boggles- Meh, his voice is just alright for me…he’s not the only one we’re gonna hear a bit of, but I’ll cover that in my Pandora Hearts review. :)
Ultimately, though, Phantom is nice to look at, and I’ll give it a few episodes before I make a decision, but somehow it’s not clicking with me at the moment. Not really all that happy with the Ali Project ED either. XD

Haha I laughed at “Ein” too. I don´t know if it is intended or a mistake ^^ As a native german speaker it just sounds weird.
I knew that there was something about the trailers for this series that gave me concerns.
@Sirenja: Haha, yeah, I’m not even a native German speaker and it sounds weird to me — then again, I can get kinda anal when it comes to languages. -wry-
@otakureview: Eh, what was wrong with the trailer? ._.
@Jay-san: Moonphase doesn’t know yet, but ANN suggests 13, which I suspect is the default for shows. XD
@Jay-san: A dog called Ein? ._.
