Kemono no Souja Erin 12 - Multicoloured Flying Beast
Did we really need another recap at the start of this ep? -wry- I know Shin Ou has golden eyes already..-wry- Ah well. In any case, Erin moves with John to his summer home.
John sure has a strange-looking house — the roof seems to slope all the way to the ground. Comic relief duo tags along, and is actually somewhat funny this time ’round.
While cleaning the chimney, Erin spots the shadow of something large above her…she heads to the forest, and finds HUGE footprints (dinosaur-standard!) and a LARGE white feather almost as long as she is tall.
Meanwhile, some strange guy with a square face called Karo (?) drops by — it seems he knew John a while ago. He says the feather belongs to an Ouju, a sacred beast that has huge wings, the face of a wolf, sharp claws, and grows to be hundreds of times larger than Touda.
At night, the three gather around the campfire to play songs. Erin displays a natural aptitude for music, with some animals heading out to hear her song! (She also manages to replicate John’s song on the harp after just listening to it once..) And John’s singing voice isn’t bad either, haha.
I have to admit, I’m getting a bit bored of this series. But at least Erin isn’t jumping right into danger in this ep. Her fascination with all animals, big and small, is also rather refreshing.
