Koukaku no Regios 9 - No-bra and Bug-man..
Koukaku no Regios 9 picks up where the previous ep left off — with a bug carcass almost-falling on Nina. Subsequently, Gornio tells Nina about why he abhors Layfon.. Screenshot captions later, since I have to go for lunch.
It seems Layfon had once ruthelessly (?)battled a senior of his, Gerhardt Barei (gah, what’s up with the names..) to hide the fact that he’d been participating in underground competitions.
Meanwhile, the rest of group 17 is still looking for survivors/corpses in the city. Leerin writes a letter to Layfon telling him about the recent uneasiness she’s been feeling, but the Queen intrudes in her room and makes funny boob comments (“I wonder if it’s ‘no bra’ at this time of the day!” XD)
Nina confronts Layfon about joining underground competitions, and he says it was to live — because he needed money. She says she doesn’t understand, and that they might not be able to coexist in the same group…
By the way, is it me, or did they announcer stumble on Layfon’s name? XD “Layfon..Ofusei..Aruseifu!”
Then, creepily enough, some bug-man attacks Leerin and her father, calling for Layfon, but it gets scared away by the Queen in golden pretty beast mode. ^^ It seems that bug-man is actually Gerhardt…with parasitic filth beasts on him? ._. Whatever it is, Savaris eliminates him with some simultaneous clone akshun.Gornio wakes up in the middle of the night dreaming about Gerhardt’s demise, only to find Shante feral and attacking him. o.O Fortunately, she gets knocked out by whacking herself on a beam. XD What is going on in this city?
Also, Nakahara Mai is in the ED, along with the usual ChromeShelled this time. I think it’s happened in a previous ep as well, though. Was quite nice. :)

Another anime’s harebrained attempt at philosophy and deeper perspective. Of course, you kinda need good reasoning and logic skills to do that.
“Hmm, living, or uphold the sacred martial art honor?”. That’s a hard choice to make, bucko. Me, I think I’d rather die before “defiling” the imaginary and self-assigned (and in that sense, arbitrary) value of the “martial artist’s way”.
How silly.
