Kemono no Souja Erin 9 - Royal Jelly Makes Queen Bees

In ep 9, Erin learns to be a fledgeling beekeeper. :) I came up with surprisingly more screenshots than usual…ah well, see the 39 directly, or read on for slideshow.John is as jolly as always — he teaches Erin the ropes, while protecting her much like a father would, when she gets curious and wants to jump in. Also, more bee trivia — when there are a certain number of queen bees in a nest, one will take some of the worker bees and leave to form a new hive.

To make up a new hive thingy for them, John (the beekeeper) prepares it by spraying deodorising liquid on it, and is surprised when Erin manages to guess what it’s for. :) Clever Erin!

Erin feels bad for imposing on John, though — which I’d understand in her position. However, I think she’s coping really well. She still gets flashbacks about mom, but I could tell she’s trying to be strong. Go for it, Erin!
