Clannad After Story 17-18: Tomoya and the Loli
Because, really, it’s about Tomoya and Ushio. At least he wises up by 18…read on for summary/screenshots.
17: Tomoya meets Ushio. For the first time in 5 years!! I could hardly believe it. -_- How many of the poor kid’s milestones had he missed? :( How could any parent do that…. Doesn’t he think he’s failing Nagisa by not taking care of their child? Bleh. Ushio is a cute kid, though. Looks like Nagisa (with brown instead of auburn hair) — but doesn’t sound like her. Sanae wrangles things so they’re alone, and Tomoya finally relents and brings her on a trip (since she wants to go).
18: Revelation. Also known as Tomoya finally realising he ought to take care of adorable Ushio…and that he’s been a lousy (nonexistent) father even worse than his own dad. Finally!
Ushio is cute. She does sound like a boy, though. And I’m glad Tomoya has finally dug himself out of the hole — I’m sure Nagisa would not have been proud of how he had essentially abandoned Ushio for five years.
I was amused to see Akio did manage to get Ushio to call him Akki instead of ‘Jiichan. XD
@xJAYMANx: She would have. But it doesn’t make up for the five years he missed. At least Ushio is a kind and forgiving kid. =) [Then again I’ll probably facepalm if I met an emo five-year-old >.>] But he missed her first words…her first steps…cutting her hair/her nails…her nappy changes…the baby drool…her laughter…(Though I reckon some might consider it skipping all the icky baby stuff and having an adorable toddler. XD)
