Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo 8 - Find Me a Head..
Why on earth is Sakura on the ceiling like a big (but cute) arachnid?!
Sorakake, like Maria Holic, is priceless once again. With Leopard laughing, and Sakura laughing along with him..-wry- Sakura calling him Wakuwakuboomboom…Mr Black Belt wanting to be friends with him..
The Shishidou clan goes en masse to meet Leopard, but all they do is end up agitating him, especially when they clear up his collection of PET bottle caps, old business cards (? some kind of card), and toilet paper cores. XD Naturally he doesn’t want to join the Shishidou corp.
Onsen time! This is also where Kazane explains stuff to Akiha. The brain colonies seem to have actually been developed by Kirkwood — colonies which can think and adapt their environment for optimum human establishment. The first Brain Colony was Nerval..using his data (which was promising), they made a few more brain colonies.
But when the population passed 1 million people, Nerval went to war with the humans in him — now the Shishidou corp, together with Leopard, wants to act to fight Nerval again. Before he does humankind in, I’m assuming.
Just before Akiha can ask about Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo, a monster appears and steals the Golden Orbs’ cooling device! Leopard calls it…
Leopard: Crocodilius Leopardos!
Akiha: Kuro panda??
Akiha and co go in search of kuropanda..
Akiha: Don’t you have a map?
Leopard: Used to have one, but lost it…because life is a journey without a map..
Kuropanda seems to like cold places, but Akiha and co don’t know where to go, so they head to the library for a map first..but they meet a headless set of armour that attacks them, then sets a quest for them — to find his head/helmet among a pile of rubbish — when it finds out they want the map.
We also find out that Itsuki is doing paranormal studies because she lost her parents in a mass disappearance incident (100k people went missing?!) when she was five. In any case, they successfully find the cooler with the map, get it back, and continue with their onsen. XD Well, for a little while, at least.
One note — what’s with that chainsaw?!
Even though it was a pretty simple episode, Sorakake managed to be completely enjoyable. (and not much of an onsen ep, heh.) :) Looking forward to the next ep!
Sakura riding Leopard was too damn cute.. This ep also show Sunrise discrimination towards loli, why no onsen Honoka and Sakura… *facepalm Sunrise*
@Panther: I kinda expect the Takane comment by now…weren’t you happy she was in casual clothes (I think you mentioned they were nice in a previous entry?) too? :P
@An-chan: Yeah, I noticed Honoka wasn’t in the onsen! I have to admit Kazane distracted me so I didn’t think about whether Sakura was in there though..haha. XD Very valid point!
