The mysterious woman from a few eps ago makes an appearance in the preview/right at the end of the previous episode, bringing Banshee to a mysterious guy (Ulysses - whose seiyuu is Miyano Mamoru of Ouran [Tamaki] and Gundam 00 [”Setsuna F Seiei”] fame XD)…who is supposed to be related to the Blue Knight Earl? Gasp! Surprise — the mysterious woman is Ermine, who was supposed to have died at sea! Seems she came back as a selkie. Banshee goes with them, and they leave Paul and Nico (after cutting his whiskers, poor kitty) at the mansion. Paul explains that Ulysses and co. are after the amber tears in which Banshee’s memories were locked after she foresaw Lady Gladys’s (a Blue Knight Countess a hundred or so years ago, and her mistress) death.Aside from being annoyed by Nico’s voice, this was a pretty interesting episode (compared to all those previous eps) that actually had some intrigue and looked like it might be going somewhere. Yay Banshee arc!However, the romance is still rather painful to watch…Edgar says he wished he could see Lydia, and she goes over because of a feeling too. All of it is rather cliched…I don’t know, maybe it’s because I can’t identify with it at all (unlike with Clannad), but meh. Tsk tsk at Edgar asking Lydia to sleep with him, but moaning Ermine’s name before he falls asleep…probably drunk, prfh.By the way, random Earl and Fairy trivia — the ED is sung by the seiyuu for Edgar, Midorikawa Hikaru. Don’t really like the ED. -wry-
