Hoshi no Umi no Amuri 3 - All’s Well that Ends Well
In ep 3, the maid and Pulmo the loli’s dad (Deus Allen) conspire to destroy Earth, aiming to let only Adapters (surely the superior life form!) survive. In the process, they want to off themselves too..
Meanwhile, Perrier struggles with feelings of worthlessness, fueled by Vernier. (Her elder sister as well as dissociative identity?) Amuri and Suzu are still in their scantily-clad stora, though I must say Vernier’s purple Utores is the prettiest of them all. :) Come on…lace ribbons as an attack! Though all she did was enclose them in a ball and drag them along. ._. Read on for the rest of the summary as well as the screenshot slideshow. (or gallery here)
Pulmo’s brain gets used by her father (somehow), while Amuri’s allergy of Repulsion is amplified and absorbed by a machine (”Pattern A”) when she’s captured (remember I mentioned Vernier dragging her somewhere?), protecting Galapagos from numerous missiles from angry humans that don’t want to be blown up. Poor Amuri is worked so hard she bleeds. T_T Then the same thing happens for Suzu (”Pattern S”), when the attackers change tack and try to trap them in a cage of light. :( At this point, I’d practically forgotten what Suzu’s power is..-wry- (Ahh, I remember now - Escape!) Somehow, it works again. Last up…gas that can’t be repulsed! Who to use? Perrier, of course! (”Pattern…you guessed it, P) They infiltrate through the gas without problem…least, to all except from the Adapters.
Together with the Allergy of Harmony, the four form the Ozone Breaker — a weapon to destroy the world. But before that happens, they join in the power of song…and I must say it’s a very nice song. With it, they overcome the control and power-sucking, and repels Galapagos (and thus the weapon) from the world, destroying it. “Umi tori ga”…if anyone knows which song this is, could you comment, please? Can’t seem to find it…
Overall, an enjoyable 3-episode OVA. A rather simplistic, somewhat childish plot that was rather predictable, but I loved the art.
wow, nearly a year and nobody answered you ….. the song is “kaichou hana” …. i will soon be posting the song (actual full song from the soundtrack) with an image of the lyrics page along with all 3 episodes to youtube, search for my name (monkeywraith) to find them …. now if only i could find at least the furigana for the lyrics, the lyrics page is mostly kanji …. but oh well, i wanted to try to translate it, i guess i do not mind a challenge :P
