Hoshi no Umi no Amuri 2 - Yuri akshun?!
If there’s one thing I could point out about Hoshi no Umi no Amuri, the visuals are stunning. True, it all starts to seem like you’re watching the CGs of a game after a while, but hey, good CGs!
Most of episode one was in 3D animation — and I loved the planet of whimsical objects made from rubbish, as well as the girl who was sad because she couldn’t touch people without being repelled, because of her power. Who cared that more than five solid minutes of it was taken up by a light show, or that it had the undressingtransformation!shoujo phenomena? It was done pretty. Episode two doesn’t disappoint, opening with a world of…ramen. And a short recap of what happened in the first episode. More space pirates…more nakedshoujotransformation!Amuri…more Amuri kissing…wait, what?! Turns out she meets a doll who’s a clone of her, who touches her and absorbs the battlesuit.
We learn a bit more about Perrier and her darker side Vernier, as well as about Yunque, who has the allergy of Escape. “Her hands were so sensitive that they were enclosed in material made from her cells.” –> So that’s why they’re all covered up…
Frankly, though, the action gets a bit boring. I know it’s weird, but I feel sleepy when watching action..-wry- Maybe it’s because I’m watching this early in the morning as well. ._.
