Earl and Fairy 2 - Lydia’s Conscience

Published by jennkei at 10:03 pm under Earl and Fairy, anime Edit This

Not feeling all 100% today, so no screenshots for this…do people even watch it? :P

I find it interesting how they pronounce it ‘fi-a-ry’ instead of fairy (feh-rie or fair-y). Though honestly, what’s up with ash mauve eyes? In this episode, Edgar and Lydia get almost-mugged; while Raven is off buying groceries or fighting bad guys, they have a little heart-to-heart and Lydia finds out about Edgar/John’s sad past as a slave. They say fear is an aphrodisiac, but apparently not for Lydia!

Also, overtones between Edgar and Raven~ “If I were to sin, it would only be for Lord Edgar’s sake.” And Raven cuts guns with his dagger. Very nice. Though I must say the rest of the action sequences were pretty lame. -wry-

The art is still pretty, though; very shoujo. I especially like Lydia’s hair and clothes. ^^ Wavy hair and Victorian clothes, niceeee. On clothes, though, why did Edgar strip his top off? I was expecting to see a brand on his back, or some whip marks. Gotham being a brain-greedy psychiatrist was interesting but seemed like an afterthought, and Edgar switching rapidly from charming to threatening was jarring at best.

Will continue to watch to 7 anyway. XD

Interesting, I had a look there, thanks for the heads up. :) Not quite impressed so far, but we’ll see…
